My Story: How Acne Controlled My Life

Having suffered with server acne since my early teens and being labeled as “ugly” who thought I would now be competing in beauty pageants and giving fashion advice to London’s most elite woman. I spent years testing out different products and medication and was even put on the extremely strong drug -roacutane, twice! I felt like a dermatologists guinea pig. I was so self conscious about my skin that there were days when I wouldn’t even leave the house because I was afraid people would stare and make fun of me! I became depressed and my self esteem hit an all time low.

What most people don’t realise is how much a skin condition can control someone’s life. Years later a close friend of mine told about a procedure she’d used after suffering from the same condition and based on her results I was keen to find out more.
