Éthologie London by Jasper Garvida
Unity in Time and Space
Upstairs in the Radio Bar of the ME London Hotel, a new location for Jasper – it was great to be in an open space. It could only be described as mixture between a presentation and a catwalk, we’d never been to the Radio Bar before – never mind seeing a catwalk up there.
In this collection we’re taken back to the Euro 60’s glamour, where the models walked very nonchalant. Lots of fur, luxe knitwear and mini skirts: a chic nod to the après-ski fashions spotted on the slopes in luxury ski resorts such as St.Moritz. There was an infectious beat of euro-pop in the background, as we got to see a birds-eye view of London – transporting the audience to the Alps.
Our favourite looks were the cape like jacket, which was paired with an all over gold dress, great for dressing up or down. Our other favourite was a knitted jumper dress with fur fringing at the bottom, very reminiscing of Channel in the 60’s – added with a pearl by pearl necklace.
Éthologie’s amazing collection boasted metallic leathers, sleek ponies, fur jackets and headwear, which cemented practicality within the collection – a fine line to walk for most designers. The models wore minimal make-up, oversize sunglasses, lots of fur and metallic gold – Ethologie capture effortless glamour at its best.
