The 87th Academy Awards Were Very Lady Like

While the coveted trophies were handed out at 87th Academy Awards on Sunday night at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California, something was different… What was it? One was still offered an endless parade of glitz and glamour as both Hollywood’s elite and up and coming mingled with little care of where each resided on the celluloid pecking order.

JLO sat with Streep and Neil Patrick Harris was in his underwear… Yet the winds of change were blowing.

There are always those who will say after a seismic event occurs that they knew it would happen… But this year could anyone really predict that Lady Gaga would turn things upside-down singing a medley from one of the most iconic movies of all times – The Sound Of Music with breathtaking vocals that were beyond good or great and rather took her into the realm of a “legit” singer with authentic chops.

Award shows can be tedious at times and this year certainly had its ups and downs, but “Little Monsters” rejoice as your mother once again took us by surprise and reinvented herself in a very gentle, very soothing, very “lady-like” revolution.
