Christmas comes early on Oxford Street. Mr Monopoly will be handing out £200 Oxford Street Gift Cards to the first 50 people who pass Go at the NSPCC Oxford Streets First Family Festival on 6th November.
Craig Wilkins, Marketing Director, Hasbro UK & Ireland said: “We’re really excited to see MR MONOPOLY in action at Oxford Street’s First Family Festival, handing out Christmas treats. We hope everyone will enjoy the real-life MONOPOLY experience, and it’s fantastic to be a driving force in this year’s Christmas lights Switch-On and also raise awareness of NSPCC’s Little Stars campaign.
Hasbro has teamed up with the NSPCC and the New West End Company to launch their Little Stars campaign by asking members of the public across the country to donate £5 to dedicate a light on Oxford Street for someone special in their life. In doing so they will be helping the NSPCC in its mission to fight for every childhood.
The hundreds of thousands of specially created ‘little stars’ lights will twinkle and sparkle among the existing 1,778 gold and silver baubles and 750,000 LED bulbs as part of the Oxford Street Christmas display, with money raised from donations going to the NSPCC’s helplines and national services which both keep children safe and help them recover when they have fallen victim to some form of abuse. Christmas should be a special time, where children’s dreams come true. But for many the reality is very different. The campaign hopes to give more children a brighter Christmas.
